Aggregate is the largest component of concrete, the most used man-made material on earth and the only building material in which a world changing quantity of CO2 can be permanently sequestered.

Using CO2 sequestered aggregate in concrete enables it to become a carbon negative material and to turn the built environment from a carbon burden to a carbon sink.

The facility will capture CO2 from the neighboring Los Medanos Energy Center to safely and permanently store it in synthetic limestone aggregate through the process of mineralization.
